Steve's love for playing bass started when he was 13 years old. Listening to Paul
McCartney and other bassists of British rock bands helped form the roots of Steve’s
bass & vocal styles.
The summer Steve turned 14, he was a member of a band known as THE
MERCENARIES. The band flourished throughout his high school years, playing at
various high schools and dance halls throughout Southern Ontario. At the age of 18,
Steve met Frank. They quickly realized that they shared the same views on many things
including the love of playing music! This led to the formation of a 3-piece heavy metal
band called PRESSURE.
Steve also spent some time performing with Hamilton folk singer/songwriter Scott Smith,
which eventually led to a 2-year Ontario tour in the folk/rock band WRANGLER followed
by some time with a folk/rock trio called HOME ON THE ROAD.
One Christmas, many years later, Frank called Steve to ask if he would be interested in
joining him to record a few songs for a Christmas gift for his mother. Steve thought it
would be great to sit down a play a few tunes with his old friend again and share a few
laughs. By the end of that evening, Steve knew that the music bug had bitten once
again (as it had almost 3 decades earlier) Steve knew that he had come FULL CIRCLE
with his love of performing.
Steve joins Frank and very close friends, Dianne and Morgan to form what is known as
FULL CIRCLE today. “Having close friends is very special ... but having those close
friends also fit so well together musically, is a blessing. I’m proud to step on any stage,
anywhere, with these fine musicians ... the fact we get along so well and share such a
strong friendship is almost scary.”
