~ RULES OF ENSEMBLE PLAYING ~

1.  Everyone should play the same piece.

2.  If you play a wrong note, give a nasty glare at the person playing next to you.

3.  Remember - the right note played at the wrong time is a wrong note.

4.  If everyone gets lost except you, follow those who are lost.

5.  When everyone else has finished playing, you should not play any notes you have left.

Dianne plays a German-made Framus mandolin.
It has uniquely shaped "cat's eye" sound holes, a pear-shaped orange/reddish body and an extra "zero fret" next to the nut.
It's a beautiful little instrument, which her father rescued from oblivion by purchasing it at a garage sale.

The Mandolin Society of Peterborough (MSOP) was formed by Curtis Driedger in 2003.  It harkens back to the
mandolin orchestras of the early 20th century and boasts a membership, hovering around 20-25 players, from
all walks of life.  What a treat to be a part of such an eclectic group!  How often do you see (let alone hear) that
many mandolins in one room?
MSOP plays during a fundraiser
for the Art School (where we rehearse)
Held at "The Great Hall", Trent University
