Connie Burton                        Listen to Connie sing Peggy Lee's "Fever":   mp3 or wma

Connie Burton was born into a musical family and raised in a small community north of Toronto.  She
made her first stage appearance at the age of four when she sang at her church's Christmas concert,
accompanied by her mother on the guitar.  She sang whenever possible at schools, charity functions
and eventually coffee houses.  Connie's professional career began at age 19 when she and her brothers
started the band "Something Blue" in the Peterborough area.  Primarily a dance band, the Burtons
always prided themselves on performing current hits and classic numbers as close to the original as
possible.  When "Something Blue" folded in 1988, she joined brother Keith in forming the band
"Tribute".  This group performed a wide range of impersonations and this is where Connie honed the
art of impersonation; both visually and vocally.  Since leaving the band in 1995, Connie performs
regularily as Patsy Cline (one of her favourites) and has recently started impersonating Peggy Lee,
another alto with a hauntingly sexy voice, well within her range.
Vocalists
Wayne Robinson   Listen to Wayne sing Sinatra's "New York, New York":   mp3 or wma

Wayne Robinson currently lives in Peterborough and spends his free time performing in productions
by the Peterborough Theatre Guild, ShowPlace Peterborough, Peterborough Festival of Lights and
with the Peterborough Singers.  His professional singing career began in 1976, where he was
performing at the Ottawa Opera, the Opera De Montreal and spent 9 years as a member of the Tudor
Singers of Montreal which toured Canada extensively, doing live and studio tapings for CBC and
other various TV shows.  He has also completed assignments with the Montreal Symphony, including
two records for Decca.  His education and training includes voice and improvisational instruction at
McGill University in Montreal.  Wayne also studied the saxophone, piano and conducting while at
McGill.  His recent performance in "I'll Be Seeing You" in January 2004 at ShowPlace Peterborough
featuring the music of Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee, was a tremendous success.
Danny Bronson

Danny Bronson is one of Peterborough's treasures.  He brings his humour and wit naturally into any
performance whether it be acting in theatre or singing and playing guitar or piano in front of an
audience.  He has appeared with Canadian icons Colleen Peterson, Sylvia Tyson and Valdy.  Some of
Danny's collection of original songs are found on his cd "Higher Ground".  He has appeared as a
featured artist 12 times at the Peterborough Festival of Lights and was inducted into the Pathway of
Fame in 1999.  Danny continues to use his songwriting abilities as a co-owner and Creative Director
for the jingle company Da Vinci Sound, as well as performing in various venues throughout Ontario.
Robin Lea                        Listen to Robin sing Duke Ellington's "Me & You":   mp3 or wma

"Robin Lea is without-a-doubt a rising star to note ... she is one of Canada's most talented singers and
certainly one of Canada's best Big Band vocalists.  She's young, beautiful and sings like a songbird!
Robin's singing style sets the mood with ballads, "pop" or swingin' tunes ... all sung with heart, soul,
energy ... emotion. She specializes in Big Band favourites and sings warm and personal in the tradition
of the vocalists of the 40s, such as Peggy Lee, Doris Day, Helen Forrest and Kay Starr."
John Dimon, Big Band World Magazine
Keeping up tradition is a labour of love for Robin.  The roots of music in her family began with
vaudeville and have continued to present day with the likes of Robin's parents, Bill and Betty Lea
(pianist and vocalist) and her aunt, Shirley Harmer.  Fine tuning her gift at Humber College and
Queen's University, Robin has made her sultry voice one of the best friends jazz music has had in
some time.
Dave Statham

Dave grew up in and still calls Oshawa home.  He first began performing in high school
musicals and has been on stage ever since.  He has evolved from belting out Sinatra at punk
shows to performing with the areas top musicians.  As a fan of all kinds of music, Dave has
played punk, metal and currently plays drums and sings in a country band in addition to the
jazz.  For the past few years he has had the pleasure of working steadily in venues all over
southern Ontario with a number of excellent bands playing anything from straight ahead
jazz to pop and r&b hitting all points in between.
Marsala Lukianchuk

Marsala Lukianchuk grew up in community theatre and learned to sing from her parents at a
very young age.  Since then, she has studied many forms of music, focusing mainly on jazz and
blues, and attended Ryerson University’s theatre program.  In 2003, Marsala recorded a CD of
original material and later was invited to perform her music in Toronto’s ‘Canadian Music
Week.’ In 2004, she toured with the Irish live show ‘Spirit of Ireland,’ honing her Irish ballad
skills.  Marsala has been seen on stage most recently at 4th Line Theatre in 2008 and continues
to enjoy playing her original music with her husband, Stephen.  She is delighted to have joined
with the talented musicians of the Kawartha Jazz Ensemble and looks forward to the many
projects they have on the go for the future.
