Music has always been a huge part of Dianne's life.  Whether musical theatre, classical, folk, pop,
R&B, rock or country - she's pretty happy to indulge in almost any style.  Her dad plays almost any
instrument you can name, her mom was touring in a country band in her own youth, and her
childhood memories are filled with singing harmony in the back seat of the car with her parents and
two sisters any time they travelled.  Gatherings with extended family on both sides were always filled
with music.  Piano lessons from the age of seven, self-taught guitar from about eleven, songwriting
(including scoring for theatre) from her early teens, and always ... singing.

Throughout her high school and university years Dianne played at drop-in centres, hootenanny's,
coffee houses, community centres and pubs as a solo act or as part of several duos & trios.  There
was nothing better than the magical blend of three female voices in close harmony when Dianne,
Suzanne Bennett and Charlotte Moore (occasionally known as "The Peaches"!) would perform or
record original tunes.  Another particular favourite was joining friends John and Tony in their folk/rock
duo "MacDonald & Crea".

Songwriting has always been a creative refuge.  An association with BMG Music in the late 1980s led
to several of Dianne's original tunes being shopped around the industry.  Co-writing with multiple
award winning country (now gospel) artist Kelita Haverland, saw a few of their collaborations make it
to radio and television.  A co-write with bassist/producer Mark Shannon led to a 3rd place win (from
over 1400 entries) in MIX 99.9 Radio's Annual Songwriting Contest.

A few years ago Dianne met the guys.  Some casual jam sessions led to more serious rehearsals and
the beginnings of a band.  Then, with the lucky addition of drummer Morgan, FULL CIRCLE really
started to rock!

These days, aside from FULL CIRCLE, Dianne performs in a few different contexts:  as an actress on
TV, film, stage, and in commercials;  as one-half of the duo "
Cover Girls";   in the fabulous "Convivio
Chorus" choir;  and as a proud member of the "
Mandolin Society of Peterborough".  She also sang &
played for four years with the cover band "Sweet Blindness".  Dianne trained as an actor at York
University where she obtained an Honours B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree in Theatre
Performance.  She is a long-time member of ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and
Radio Artists), CAEA (Canadian Actors' Equity Association), and SOCAN (Society of Composers,
Authors and Music Publishers of Canada).  Visit her website at
