| Many choir members have also appeared as the "Juanita O'Dang Singers" in those amazing & quirky dance/music collaborations created by and starring Curtis Driedger (musical arranger, lead singer) & Kate Story (choreographer, lead dancer) and performed as part of PND's EMERGENCY Dance Series. Led by Choir Director Susan Newman, the
Convivio Chorus was originally formed as part
of a 4th Line Theatre production. It has since
become "that cool choir" that participates each
year in a Christmas fundraising concert for Y.E.S.
(the Youth Emergency Shelter) in Peterborough.
The annual "In From The Cold" concert has become a popular and
much anticipated December event. Hosted by John Hoffman and the
folk/roots band "Carried Away", the concert features solo
performers, comedic segments and the Mandolin Society of
Peterborough.
The 25-30 member choir sings original arrangements (by Susan
Newman, John Hoffman, & Curtis Driedger) of both familiar and
lesser-known Christmas music; some as an acapella chorus and
some with the band.
The concert is broadcast on Trent Radio 92.7FM each year throughout Christmas day. If
you are out of the broadcast range of Trent Radio, you can listen to a stream of that
